Did you know that Section 21 of the Broadcasting Guidelines lays out the general criteria for the broadcast of religious programmes?
Religious Programmes
(a) Religious broadcasts that relate to religious doctrine exclusively should be presented by responsible representatives of the religion.
(b) Religious broadcasts should not incite any attack on any other religion.
(c) Conditions for broadcasting religious programmes should be the same for all religious groups.
(d) Attacks, in any form on other religious groups shall not be condoned.
It’s important for broadcasters and viewers alike to be aware of these guidelines in order to ensure that religious programming is handled in a respectful and appropriate manner.
Let’s all work together to promote responsible broadcasting practices!

The Guyana National Broadcasting Authority (GNBA) is proud to join the international community in observing World Autism Day.
Autism, also known as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), is a developmental disorder that affects social communication, interaction, and behaviour. ASD is a spectrum disorder, meaning that it affects individuals differently and to varying degrees.
According to the World Health Organization, an estimated 1 in 160 children worldwide has ASD, and the prevalence of the condition is increasing. While the exact cause of autism is still unknown, research suggests that both genetic and environmental factors play a role.
