$2.5M radio licence fee to be reviewed – GNBA Chairman

Whether the Board will agree is another matter, but for Chairman of the Guyana National Broadcasting Authority (GNBA) the 2011 distribution of radio licenses and the annual licensing fee that poses as a burden to most broadcasters are two things that need urgent review.
Consumer advocate, Leonard Craig, was appointed about a month ago to chair the all important GNBA.

Govt reconstitutes GNBA

Leonard CraigGovernment on Wednesday confirmed that it has officially reconstituted the Guyana National Broadcast Authority (GNBA) Board following discussions with a few stakeholders.
The new Board is headed by Leonard Craig who confirmed that the new board members would have a series of issues to discuss in the interest of dealing with core matters under its remit.

Craig named head of Broadcasting Authority; La Rose to chair Chronicle

Government has named consumer advocate, Leonard Craig, to chair the all important Guyana National Broadcasting Authority (GNBA).
Craig is known for taking on telecommunication companies like GTT and Digicel, and has represented himself before the Public Utilities Commission.
The announcement was made yesterday by Minister of State, Joseph Harmon, while he was hosting Government’s weekly post Cabinet briefings.
