GNBA at CBU AGA 57
The Guyana National Broadcasting Authority (GNBA) was pleased to participate in the Caribbean Broadcasting Union (CBU) 57th Annual General Assembly (AGA 57), hosted in Guyana at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre from August 17–19, 2026 under the theme “Caribbean Media and AI”.
The three-day gathering brought together broadcasting professionals, media stakeholders and industry leaders from across the Caribbean and beyond, providing a valuable opportunity for knowledge sharing, networking and exploring the future of broadcasting in the region.
GNBA was represented at AGA 57 by delegates, Mr. Robert Mohamed (Member of the GNBA Board) and Mrs. Nualla DaSilva (Administrative Manager/Board Secretary), who participated in the activities and engagements throughout the event.
As part of the exhibitors’ showcase, GNBA proudly displayed its work and mandate through an interactive GNBA booth, designed to highlight the Authority’s role in regulating and supporting Guyana’s broadcasting sector. The booth provided an opportunity to engage participants and visitors while sharing information about GNBA’s work, initiatives and contribution to the development of broadcasting in Guyana. One such initiative was the soft launch of the GNBA Public Reporting WhatsApp Line.
GNBA is proud to have been part of this significant regional broadcasting event and looks forward to continued collaboration with the CBU and its members in advancing the broadcasting industry in Guyana and across the Caribbean.
