GNBA EXECUTIVES VISITED LINDEN BROADCASTING NETWORK TO EXAMINE FACILITY
Executives of the Guyana National Broadcasting Authority visited the Linden Broadcasting Network yesterday (March 04, 2019) in the Mining town of Linden. This type of outreach is a customary exercise that is conducted to ascertain the readiness of new broadcasters to effectively utilize the broadcasting Licence issued by the Authority.
GNBA executives included the Chairman of the governing Board, Mr. Leslie Sobers and Board member, Ms. Aretha Campbell. Also present was Legal Advisor to the Minister of State, Mrs. Geeta Chandan-Edmond.
This delegation met with the Mayor of Linden, Ms. Waneka Arrindell, Region ten Member of Parliament, Mr. Jermaine Figueira, Region ten Councillor, Ms. Fern McKoy, including the designated officer that will be responsible for the management of the broadcasting station, Ms. Reycia Nedd.
These officials from the mining town gave a detailed tour of the facility and a synopsis of the plans for its development, in an effort to make it more business-friendly and well equipped for broadcasting. The GNBA is pleased with the plans outlined for the development of the broadcasting entity and looks forward to harmonious relations as we move forward.
